Tia Wood.. the young lady who got me blogging in February of this year scores some notoriety of her own with the debut of www.domainergirls.com .. I have to be honest.. I’ve noticed a steady increase in the number of women attending domain conferences.. In 2004 industry conferences were like seminaries.. this year I see many more male domainers attending with their super hot model girlfriends.. also see some female domainers attending with man-candy of their own.
Funny evolution.
Domaining at the end of the day is about those soft communication skills.
Lets face it, they are just better than we are!

I’ve noticed that myself. The TRAFFIC photos are getting hotter and hotter.
This year at TRAFFIC in New York my wife attended the cocktail parties which was great and she is now working alongside our team. She will also be attending the Fabulous Dinner here in Melbourne (AUS) tomorrow evening!! So yes there are more women entering into this industry and we all (us guys) will be better for it in my opinion!!
I am concerned that it is being put forth that the GeoDomain auction had bidders in the six and seven figure range that were ‘passed’.
I e-mailed Moniker and asked directly if my antilles.com domain, which the auctioneer in the video passed at $150k, actually had bidders up to and including that amount. I received a one word reply from Monte: no.
I’ve been in business a long time, with wonderful entrepreneurial adventures - as well as a few that weren’t so memorable - and I cannot ever recall a similar line of business where it is accepted practice to fabricate sales offers, whether in an auction setting or otherwise.
