DomainSponsor.com to Upgrade Stats and Management Functions.

It’s nice to see DS focussing harder on their core business… Some examples:

Traffic by Country – View a geographical breakdown of visitors

Traffic by Language – View an effective visitor browser language breakdown

Traffic by Referrer – View top referrers

Top Keywords List – View your top revenue-generating keywords

Josh asks:  It’s taken them this long to offer these kinds of stats??  Molasses, i say, molasses. However, better late than never.  But will it be enough to satisfy fired up domain owners whos’ frustrations have been building for years?  Let’s see some revenue transparency.

    It has got me interested.

It is probably much more relevant to those of us that are trying to address a Global Market, than those using uniquely English Keywords in Latin Script.

As DS apparently ran a whole series of workshops on IDN, one assumes they are supporting keywords in Unicode. It would seem that this has been timed to meet the emergence of solid browser support for IDN.

Perhaps one more piece of the puzzle in place!

I don’t need these fancy stats nor do I care. The only stat I am focused on is revenue and that is steadily declined despite higher traffic levels and incredible increases in online ad spending. Now what does that tell you? Somebody upstream is siphoning off all that ad money, either Google or DS. These big fish need to learn an important lesson from the food chain. When there are no little fish, the big fish die.

Sounds like a definite upgrade. I know I have been waiting for them to come to their senses. The global market is where the “new money will be found”.

Um… I don’t think we’ll see true transparency in regards to rev share. And let’s be honest, they don’t really want to have to lay all the cards out on the table.

I think that if there was a company that offered a lot of flexibility in terms of customizing landers and had very open breakdown of the rev sharing, they would clean up. I know I’d park there.

Welcome to 2001! Geesh, with all the focus now on moving beyond standard parking pages such as offering completely customizable sites (like bodis.com), fully functioning websites (like domainer.com), turnkey affiliate programs, etc. it’s so refreshing to here DomainSponsor is now offering a basic stats.

I thought press-releases were supposed to HELP businesses…

I remember someone on Frank’s blog said that domainfest was going to replace TRAFFIC.

That is not going to happen because DomainSponsor is one of the most dishonest companies in the domain space.

And I am not talking about the Traffic club scandal. I have a story that will blow that fiasco away. However this is not the right venue.
Suffice it to say they stole a big, very big chunk of money from me.

My advice is stay far away from these people.
